i have been researching bento boxes online for purchase for a couple of weeks now. the prices you have on boxes and accessories are, by far, the lowest I've found. I am a bento newbie and just made a purchase - box and other fun stuff... if, scratch that, when i become a bento success, i will definitely be back. Plus, i have a feeling that once i show of my new lunch gear at work, you may be gaining new customers.

      best of luck!

I have just placed my second order at this gorgeous store! I highly recommend it. I ordered some little Bento Boxes, Bento Picks, silicone cups, egg molds, the easy Nigiri Sushi maker, the large Sakura White Furoshiki and Kotoba Flower chopsticks. All the items were lovely. I live in Australia, my order arrived quickly and perfectly packaged. Shinobu was very helpful and the customer service was the best. I used Paypal and the whole transaction was easy to complete. If you want to buy from a reliable online store with lovely items this is the place to shop. Shinobu's prices are very competitive also, be sure of that. My daughter and I like to visit lots of online stores just to browse so I am aware of pricing. You can shop here safely and get value for money.

    3. I've been a fan of the blog ever since I first saw it a few months ago , I love the insights into Japanese life and culture - and the recipes that lead me here too . I was delighted to see that a shop had opened and when I started to browse I was even more thrilled . I placed my first last night and I don't think it will be very long before I send for a second package . I love Japanese products , the standards of quality are always SO high and they look so very appealing . I buy when ever I get get the chance , but it can be difficult in the U.K to get things at a reasonable price . Or rather it could be hard - it certainly isn't now . I ordered some some bento boxes at a price so far below ebay that it was hard to believe what I was seeing . My most eagerly awaited item is the three hole mayonnaise bottle , my takoyaki will look really professional now . Thanks so much for the great prices and service , Diane Caunt , Nottingham

      1. Thanks, Diane☆ I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying my blog! As for bento boxes on ebay, I think most people sell for as much as they can get, whereas here on my blog I'm making my prices as cheap as possible. I always love a bargain, and want to make all the cute, useful and (as you said) quality things I have here in Japan available to all my readers, so we can all enjoy cooking together! Thanks for your comment!♡

    4. Yipee , my stuff just arrived and its fantastic . It came so much sooner than I was expecting , I was very surprised to see it . Everything is just as good as it looked on the website , the green two tier bento box is a little brighter than it looked on my screen - its very pretty and cheerful . I LOVE the mayonnaise bottle with three holes , Takoyaki for dinner for me ! Diane

    6. I have a fish shaped egg!!!! My parcel arrived today and the first thing that I did was put some eggs on to have a go with the egg moulds. I'll have to practice shelling the eggs while they're hot, but though they're not the most even, they still look so cool. Thanks for a great site. Now to try the nori punch next. Hahaha!!!

    7. Your website is really wonderful! You have helped me so much with your recipes and tips!!!
I am Australian too, and have started living in Japan. I got here, saw all this wonderful food in restaurants and didn't really know where to start to attempt to make it myself. Japanese food is healthy, but so tasty. I love your adorable website, steps are easy to follow and the photos of food look bright and delicious!

    10. Hi Shinobu
So lovely that you are back. We have used many many of your recipes, everyone comes back for seconds! We are hoping to order from you again, but a bit confused. From my side it shows a number of items out of stock. The Kimono Red Furoshiki, Japanese bowls and some chopsticks. Is it a hiccup from my side or are you waiting on items to restock please? Also I used to order Furikake from you when you first brought it in. Just love it, but impossible to get here in Sydney. I can find it if I do a search but do you still stock it or perhaps would you consider restocking it?
Thank you for sharing your recipes and knowledge especially when you are kept busy with 2 turbo charged little boys and a husband, home and business. Of all the recipes we have tried the soft mini-hamburgs remain to be the biggest hit and constantly requested by lots of people. The most we ever made in one go was 150 and all vanished. They were gone in 10 minutes flat! Kind regards, Deb.

      1. Hi Deb♡ Thanks for your message, and sorry about the late reply ><! Yes, I have been so busy! I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying the recipes! That's a pretty impressive story about your mini hamburg! lol! Yes, I'm sorry, but some of the items have been discontinued and I can't get more stock, and some were less popular, so I didn't restock them. It's hard to keep up with a large number of items, and some items were just more popular than others. If you have difficultly with any item that I haven't labelled "out of stock" please email me and I will fix the button. I don't plan to be selling furikake any more, I'm sorry, but I might be posting recipes for home-made furikake. I have been trying to avoid MSG for my children's health, and store-bought furikake has MSG. Thanks again! Have a great day! ^_^
